The PFD Protection Film is a single-use silicone adhesive, impregnated with PFD (Perfluorodecalin), developed to enhance professional laser tattoo and pigment removal procedures, offering thermal protection, skin comfort, and greater treatment efficiency.

The PFD Liquid (Perfluorodecalin) is an inert, colorless, and odorless liquid, with high solubility in oxygen and excellent moisturizing properties. During the laser procedure, it absorbs the generated heat, reducing the skin surface temperature and protecting the epidermis.

Its ability to penetrate between the skin and the pigment reduces laser dispersion to the skin surface, allowing the laser energy to act more effectively on the target tissue, such as pigments or hair follicles, without altering the wavelength or energy of the laser.

Medical silicone and skin comfort

Silicone is widely used in medical contexts for skin care. In laser treatments, the silicone adhesive helps reduce moisture evaporation, keeping the treated area hydrated. Proper hydration can contribute to greater softness of the skin tissue, better local comfort, and a more balanced skin environment after the procedure.

Efficacy

1. Effective thermal protection
   The combination of silicone and PFD can reduce the epidermis temperature to approximately 8 to 12 degrees Celsius, isolating the heat generated by the laser and reducing thermal impact on the skin. After treatment, the adhesive can remain on the skin for a few minutes for a soothing effect.

How to use

1. Wash hands before and after use.
2. Clean and dry the treatment area completely.
3. Cut the adhesive to the appropriate size for the treatment area.
4. Apply the adhesive side to the skin without stretching or applying excessive pressure.
5. Perform the laser treatment with the usual parameters, according to the client's skin condition.
6. After the procedure, the adhesive can remain on the skin for a few minutes, as needed for skin comfort.
7. Dispose of properly after use.

Contraindications

• Do not use on open wounds.
• Do not use on skin with active pathologies, such as psoriasis or acne.
• Use only when the skin is intact and completely healed.
